Easter Home Decor Prep Guide: Bring Springtime Cheer into Your Home
Easter is one of my favorite times of the year to decorate! There’s just something about the soft pastel colors, sweet bunny motifs, and cheerful spring vibes that make everything feel fresh and inviting. I had so much fun designing these Easter wooden signs, and I can’t wait to share them with you! Whether you're going all out with your decor or just looking for a few simple touches to welcome the season, this guide will help you create the perfect Easter setup.
1. Start with a Focal Point
Every great seasonal display starts with a focal point. I love using mantels, tiered trays, or entryway tables as the main stage for my Easter decor. This year, I designed a 7” wooden egg shelf sitter that’s just bursting with festive charm. Painted in white with "Happy Easter" in a playful purple font, plus sweet pink horizontal lines and a burlap bow, this piece makes a perfect centerpiece for your Easter vignette.
If you're looking for something a little more traditional, the 7” x 12” "Easter Blessings" hanging wood sign is a beautiful way to bring a soft, farmhouse touch to your entryway or a covered front door. The white background and elegant black lettering make it a timeless addition to your Easter collection.
2. Layer in Smaller Accents
Once you’ve chosen your focal point, it’s time to build around it with smaller accents. I had an absolute blast creating these tiny statement pieces that can be tucked into any corner of your home.
Pink Bunny Silhouette (3.5” x 4”)
Featuring a soft pink bunny with a twine bow, this sign adds a touch of rustic charm to any Easter setup.
"Easter Wishes Bunny Kisses" (4.5” x 4”)
One of my personal favorites this year is the "Peter Cotton Tail Candy Co." sign—a playful nod to Easter nostalgia. Hand-painted in white with black lettering and a cute bunny, it’s a must-have for anyone who loves vintage-inspired decor.
3. Add Some Humor!
Easter decor doesn’t have to be all soft pastels and sweet bunnies—it’s also a great time to add a little humor! I couldn’t resist creating a sign that makes everyone who walks by chuckle:
"Welcome to the Peep Show" (7” x 12”)
Featuring colorful bunny peeps and bold black text, this sign is a hilarious addition to any Easter display. It even works as a funny bathroom decor piece!
If you prefer something a little more subtle but still playful, the "Hop On In and Rest Your Tail" sign in soothing lavender text is another fun way to welcome guests into your home.
4. Create a Cozy Easter Tablescape
Your Easter table is another perfect spot to show off festive decor! The 3-piece Easter egg decor sets I designed this year are perfect for layering on a dining table, shelf, or entryway console. Each set includes polka dot wooden eggs and a special feature piece—either "Our Nest" or a bunny with "Hope." These add a rustic, cozy touch to any Easter gathering.
For a farmhouse-style kitchen setup, I love the "Carrots Pull Your Own 25¢ per lb." block sign.
With its hand-painted carrot and vintage-style text, it feels like a little piece of an old country market. It’s one of those small but mighty decor pieces that instantly sets the mood for spring!
5. Make Your Entryway Extra Inviting
When guests walk into your home, make sure they feel the Easter spirit right away! Hanging signs are an easy way to make an impact, and this year I created some that are perfect for an entryway or even a covered front porch:
"Every Bunny Is Welcome" (7” x 12”)
This soft pink sign with white lettering creates a warm and inviting entrance.
Because what’s Easter without a little egg hunt fun? Hand-painted in soft pastels, this piece is a must-have for families hosting Easter activities.
Final Touches
Once your Easter decor is set up, add some finishing touches like faux grass, pastel eggs, fresh flowers, or a cute bunny figurine. Decorating for Easter is all about having fun and bringing a little extra joy into your home.
I hope this guide inspires you to create a festive and welcoming Easter setup this year! I had so much fun designing these signs, and I can’t wait to see how you style them in your own home. Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
Happy decorating, and Happy Easter!
